Why consent matters
Because students are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must provide consent for tuition, data processing, and lesson recording before the first session.
How we collect consent
Consent is collected at the Personalised Assessment stage and confirmed before the first paid lesson. Records are kept securely for the duration of membership plus 6 years.
What you are consenting to
Delivery of online tuition by a vetted tutor; recording of live lessons; storage of homework and progress data; communication with the parent by email and (optionally) phone.
Withdrawing consent
Email info@firstplacetutors.com to withdraw consent. Withdrawal cancels membership and triggers data deletion subject to retention obligations.
